Anonymous Giving

The Hand Up Campaign has received a number of gifts from donors who choose to remain anonymous.

We asked one such generous donor to share why they prefer to be anonymous.

"The opportunity to partake in philanthropy is a blessing, but it also brings with it the question of recognition. Attention, even when for the noblest of causes, is an unwelcome feeling for some. For others, anonymity offers privacy in a world where our actions are increasingly scrutinized. Whatever one’s reason to remain anonymous might be, the underlying rationale for the philanthropic donation is the same, a commitment to the cause. Our donation to the Hand-Up Campaign comes from our belief in the work of the Faribault Foundation, an organization focused on providing financial opportunities for both donors and community advocates fused by the common goal of enhancing prosperity in the community.

Building an exceptional foundation that is a true community asset necessitates leadership, vision and resources. Undoubtedly, the Faribault Foundation has excellent leadership with Executive Director Laura Bock and a board of directors filled with leaders from community organizations that seek the best for Faribault. All that was missing were the resources to develop the infrastructure needed to become that instrumental organization for the Faribault Community, and we are thrilled to help on the resource side so that the Foundation can deliver on that vision of enhancing prosperity in the community."
