100 Women Philanthropists

Smiles and hugs were everywhere as 100 Women gathered to give from their hearts and pocketbooks.

This is the fourth year of the 100 Women Who Care event. Held this year at Apple Creek Orchard and sponsored by 1st United Bank.

The women each nominated their favorite charity, then three were drawn randomly from the nominations. Everyone there then voted for one of those three to receive a $5000.00 grant.

The top vote getter was The Community Action Center in Faribault!

The women enjoyed wine tasting from Wondrous Wines supported by Haskell's. Charcuterie boards and an apple sundae bar were prepared by Stone Orchard Events. Fette Electronics donated the sound system. The remaining funds help support the Faribault Foundation in the Community Opportunity Fund.

An outstanding group of volunteers organize this event each year. Special thanks to Karen Zeller, Pam Betsinger, Donna Crowl, and Gail Kohl. Many thanks to the helpers Carmen Dorr, Carrie Bauer and Toni Gleim, Pat Gustafson and Chris Shaffer-Brown.
